Website audits
A plain-English report on your current site: speed, search, accessibility, where visitors drop off and why. It ends with a short list of fixes you can hand to anyone, including us. Often the answer is a few repairs, not a rebuild.
The form that fails on Safari. The page that takes nine seconds on a phone. The service you offer that Google has never seen. The audit finds these in a week and puts them in order of what they are costing you.
Core Web Vitals on real phones and real connections, not a lab score. Where the time goes: images, scripts, hosting, fonts, plugins. Speed affects rankings and it affects whether the person in the parking lot waits for your page.
What you rank for, what you should rank for and do not, and why. Titles, headings, descriptions, structured data, indexing problems, duplicate pages, broken links, and whether the towns and services you cover are actually written on the site in a way Google and AI assistants can read.
Your Google Business Profile, Apple, Bing and Yelp listings, and whether your name, address and phone number agree everywhere. Reviews and how you respond to them.
Can someone using a screen reader, a keyboard, or older eyes use the site? Contrast, labels, headings, alt text, focus order. This is the right thing to do, it is increasingly a legal expectation for businesses, and it overlaps almost entirely with good search practice.
Where visitors land, where they leave, and whether the thing you want them to do is obvious on a phone. Forms tested end to end, including whether the email actually arrives. Phone numbers tapped. Analytics checked, or set up if there are none.
WordPress version, plugin health, abandoned software, SSL, backups, and who holds the domain and hosting logins. A surprising number of businesses do not own their own domain.
A single page, in plain English, ordered by impact: fix this first, this second, this can wait. With a rough cost beside each item. You can hand it to us, your current developer, or your nephew.
Your website, your Google Business Profile, and read access to analytics and Search Console if you have them. If you do not, we set them up as part of the audit.
Automated tests on real devices, then a human reads every page the way a customer would. The human part is where the useful findings come from.
A written report with screenshots and the one page fix list, then a thirty minute call to walk through it and answer questions.
Fix it yourself, hand it to your developer, or ask us for a quote. If you hire us for the fixes or a rebuild, the audit fee comes off the price.
The audit answers that. Roughly half the sites we audit need repairs, not a rebuild, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a site you do not need. If a rebuild is the right call, the audit becomes the brief for it.
Free reports are automated and designed to sell you something. Ours includes the automated tests, but the value is a person reading your site as a customer would, testing the forms, checking the listings, and writing the findings in plain English with costs beside them.
No. Everything we do is read-only. We test, we look, we take screenshots. Nothing is changed unless you ask us to fix it afterwards.
Yes, it is written for that. The fix list is specific enough for any competent developer to act on, and we are happy to answer their questions.
The summary and the fix list are written for the owner. The appendix has the technical detail a developer needs. You read the first page, they read the rest.
We will take a first look for free and tell you whether a full audit is worth your money.
